When finding a career path, it's best to let yourself answer these questions, and make sure your answers come from your heart. When finding a career path, find out specific jobs within the field of your interest that you deem would best offer the type of work you envision and which you would be doing not in months but years, or even a lifetime. For instance, if you are geared at entering the health care industry find out as much about a specific job, such as nursing, physician, laboratory personnel, mental health professional, and so forth. Ask people from these fields the three things that they love and hate about their jobs - then see if you are apt to overcome inevitable challenges.
Research the salary range for the career paths you've narrowed down.
Before going through your career path, be sure to research on the salary range of the jobs in your specific field, and see if you can live with this income for the rest of your life. Expectedly, your salary should not be as high as those in the higher ups or those who acquired years of experience. However, by knowing the salary range, you will know what to expect in the coming years or give you an idea on the reasonable amount of pay hike to negotiate with your boss.
Choosing a career path as early as possible is important if you want to be someone or somewhere way before you retire from your job, and lets you reap the fruits of your hard work longer. This also means spending a longer time cherishing and commending your self for a job well done, when it is time to retire.
