24 Effective Second Job Interview Tips

If you have been called back for a second interview, things are thus looking positive. However, this is also the opportunity to give your best and solidify the interviewer's decision that you are the right candidate for the job. The following tips will help you make this second round effective and successful.

  1. Remember that this is not the time to be complacent. The second interview is as important as the first and you want to prepare it thoroughly just like the first one.
     
  2. Be prepared to meet your potential boss as this is usually the opportunity they take to see their short listed potentials.
     
  3. Remember that this interview may require you to answer some questions previously asked in the last interview, but this time in more depth.
     
  4. Be prepared also to answer specific and possibly personal questions during this time.
     
  5. The interviewer may want some clarification to questions in the first interview, so be ready to give specific answers.
     
  6. Be prepared to answer questions that deal with your ability or past performance with your past employer.
